Ho Chi Minh City is a foodie’s paradise offering delectable local street food, and wide range of cuisines to try when you need a break from Vietnamese food!
Here are some of the restaurants that you should try when you are in Saigon!

Located in Bui Vien Walking street, this is a great spot for a Vietnamese dinner. Ask to sit on the rooftop, facing the street, so you don’t miss any of the action on the street!

(i forgot the exact name of this place-it is ‘Hanoi’ something)
The coconut coffee here was really good.
But the egg coffee here was TERRIBLE! Though they have a board outside saying their egg coffee is recommended by CNN. They served it to me at room temperature! It was horrible. I took one sip, and left it there. Please get your egg coffee hot or cold (though I haven’t tried the cold version), but never try it at room temperature. I almost puked.

You will see pushcarts with vendors selling all kinds of things-you have to try some food from them too. I ate a lot from the local vendors on the street. The most I had were the juices and smoothies-they were good every time! Don’t shy away from the push carts, look at the ones that are busy, or look at their food to see if they seem fresh, and just eat! It’s cheap, it’s delicious, and you are helping the local community!
Hope this list helps you decide where to eat in Ho Chi Minh City. Let me know your thoughts if you visit any of these places!
